Overview

Reporting to the Catering Supervisor, you will assist in providing a quality catering service within this location and associated satellite locations as required. As a Facilities Assistant within a kitchen, your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and serving meals.
  • Operating a till.
  • Undertaking specific cleaning duties.

You must be able to work under pressure, be a team player, and operate within food safety and nutritional guidelines. Flexibility regarding start and finish times to suit the needs of the service is desirable. This post is Term Time, and the start date is subject to PVG and Occupational Health Checks.

PVG (Children)

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to confirmation of employment. Please note that successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following the commencement of employment.
