Furniture Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Overview

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To deliver furniture and interiors to Oswaldtwistle Mills Ltd's customers, representing Oswaldtwistle Mills in a smart and professional manner. This includes receiving and unloading deliveries, preparing goods for forward delivery.

Ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a smooth-running delivery service. A full clean driving license is essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving a branded company vehicle for multiple daily deliveries while coordinating drop-offs efficiently.
• Handling furniture orders daily, including sofas and dining tables, requiring good strength and fitness for safe lifting.
• Experience in building or assembling furniture is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
• Providing a white-glove delivery service with impeccable standards when entering customers’ homes.
• Ensuring all items are protected during delivery and that goods arrive in perfect condition.
• Unloading deliveries and organizing them in the warehouse for their next journey.
• Overseeing goods in the warehouse, ensuring they are booked into EPOS systems and stock controlled.
• Supporting shopfloor teams with processing deliveries and wrapping sold goods.
• Maintaining a high standard of personal appearance to uphold the company brand.
• Adhering to health and safety standards and reporting any issues immediately.
• Some weekend or evening work may be required.
• Participating in all training opportunities provided by the company.
• Following GDPR procedures including the Privacy Notice.
• Being proactive and self-motivated.
• Performing any other reasonable duties as assigned.
