Job Summary

FPR Group is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join FPR Group's dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within FPR Group's facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining a well-organised workspace.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and containers.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and storage.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues for repair.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and support overall warehouse operations.

Pay

Pay starts at £11.89 per hour after training, rising to £13.40 per hour when taken on permanently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Basic maths for inventory management and record keeping.
• Experience with materials handling and shipping/receiving processes is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 15 kg).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices within the workplace.
