The Grounds Services team is responsible for managing and maintaining the forest landscape, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys. Role Overview
In this role, you will support the Grounds Services Manager in effectively managing and supervising developments in accordance with company and legislative requirements. You will actively promote conservation, assist Senior Forest Rangers, and help maintain an effective working team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe working condition
- Maintain ornamental landscaping, weeding, pruning, and bark mulching
- Oversee interior landscaping as required
- Manage grass and forestry work, including thinning operations and habitat creation
- Handle waterway management
Hours of Work
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. Your hours may vary, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours. Shifts will be between 6am and 6pm, including public holidays.
About You
Essential Requirements:
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in horticulture or forestry, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with agricultural, forestry, and horticultural machinery
- Full Driving Licence held for a minimum of 6 months
Desirable Requirements:
- A good knowledge of natural history and an interest in conservation
- Experience in the horticultural or forestry profession at a craftsman level
