As a Support Worker at Turning Point, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, enhancing their daily living skills.
In this hands-on role, you will provide a person-centered approach, managing clients' homes, assisting with personal care, and facilitating access to community facilities. You may accompany clients to appointments and help maintain important relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting the independence of people Turning Point support
- Assisting with daily activities, including cooking and cleaning
- Arranging community activities
- Helping residents stay safe and healthy
- Supporting medication management
- Maintaining accurate records
Training and Development: Turning Point provide training in various areas, including:
- Level 2 and 3 Lead Adult Care Worker
- Level 3 Operational Team Leader
Training begins after a 6-month probation period, guided by a personal coach.
Shift Patterns: Flexibility is essential as this is a 24-hour service, with shifts varying between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including weekends and sleep-ins.
