Fundraising Volunteer - Flexible Hours, Immediate Start

Event support required! St Gemma's Hospice have a variety of events at St Gemma's and require help from volunteers. Being an event volunteer provides a flexible role which is ideal for anyone unable to commit to long-term or regular volunteering.

St Gemma's Hospice's events are a great way to get involved and give back to a local charity. You can soak up the atmosphere and have fun! Times are flexible during events, and all event volunteers will be invited to a briefing for each event, provided with a T-shirt, and reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses depending on the length of your volunteering.

Event Support Needed

• House of Mystery, The Big Dick Whittington (an adult panto), Guiseley Theatre, 22nd & 23rd November 2024 - Volunteers required from 6pm to 10pm to assist with selling pin badges, Christmas knits, and handing out flyers to promote events.
• Winter Ball, New Dock Hall, Royal Armouries, 30th November 2024 - Event runs from 6pm till midnight. Roles include welcoming guests, auction spotting, prize giving, and selling raffle tickets.
• Light Up a Life, St Gemma's Hospice, 8th December 2024 - Volunteers needed from 2pm to help set up and support the event, including welcoming guests, providing refreshments, and signposting participants.
• Santa Dash, Park Runs in Roundhay, Temple Newsam, Woodhouse Moor, Bramley, Rothwell, 14th December 2024 - Cheer on St Gemma's Hospice's Santas between 8am and 11pm as park runs across Leeds are taken over by St Gemma's!
• Marks & Spencer's, Moortown, 17th - 21st December 2024 - Volunteers needed for bag packing and collections, with various times available to suit you.
• Tree Cycling, Leeds Golf Centre, Wyke, 9th - 16th January 2025 - Starting with breakfast and snacks, volunteers will receive their route for picking up trees and taking them to recycling centers. Individuals or teams can participate. A great opportunity if your employer provides an employee volunteer day.

St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. St Gemma's Hospice offer care to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team, and via St Gemma's Hospice's day services, which include a Day Hospice and Out-Patient Department.

St Gemma’s welcomes and provides care to everyone regardless of age, gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, or diagnosis. St Gemma's Hospice's care is always completely free of charge.
