General Labourer, Freelance

Overview

Labourer required to work on a self-employed basis, ideally from the Mossley / Ashton area.

Water Services is seeking dedicated and hardworking Labourers to join Water Services's team. The ideal candidates will perform a variety of tasks that support Water Services's operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role is essential in maintaining a productive work environment and requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team.

Duties:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
• Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks on-site.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
