Key Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy and ECG recording
- Perform routine and opportunistic BP checks, height, weight, BMI, and urinalysis
- Undertake NHS Healthchecks
- Basic wound management, including dressings and removal of stitches and clips
- Provide adult vaccinations, including influenza, COVID, shingles, and pneumococcal
- Support practice nurses in providing services for patients with long-term conditions such as diabetes and mental health
- Assist with health promotion programmes and group consultations
- Stock ordering and management
- Home visits to patients as required
Additional Duties for Experienced HCAs:
- Doppler assessment
- Chronic wound management, including leg ulcers
- INR Star monitoring
- Spirometry
