About The Service
Cardiff Council Adult Social Services are looking for a Higher Clerical Assistant to support the Mental Health for Older People team. This is a multi-disciplinary service offering support to service users over the age of 64 who suffer from mental health conditions.
About the Job
The successful applicant will work independently, answering phone calls from service users, family members, care providers, and other agencies. Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the team.
- Overseeing the team mailbox.
- Maintaining E Files, SAP orders, and payment of invoices.
- Minute taking and database management.
- Updating and maintaining registers.
- General administrative support to social workers and managers.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, able to use their initiative, and be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office applications. Key attributes include:
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment.
- Willingness to provide support to other social work teams within Cardiff.
- A positive approach and open-mindedness to new opportunities.
- Ability to speak other languages, especially Welsh, would be an advantage.
