Sunrise Enablement is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for Sunrise Enablement's clients by delivering personalised care and companionship. This position requires a strong commitment to the well-being of others and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Support clients in mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with case management tasks, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive care.
- Provide first aid as needed and maintain a safe environment for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, hospice care, or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans is desirable.
- Certification in first aid is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks.
- A valid driver's licence is required for transporting clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £11.31-£11.93 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 37 per week

- Spinal Injury: 1 year (preferred)
- Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)
