JVA Building Services is seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join JVA Building Services's team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical abilities and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service. This role involves performing various maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The Handy Man will be responsible for both routine upkeep and emergency repairs, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of JVA Building Services's facilities.

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facilities to ensure everything is in good working order.
• Perform electrical repairs, including troubleshooting and maintaining logic controllers.
• Execute mechanical repairs and installations, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
• Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations.
• Supervise small teams on specific projects, providing leadership and guidance to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand repair requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and addressing any concerns or issues raised by clients or management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Proficient in electrical systems and logic controllers, with a solid understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge, including experience with welding techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with clients at all times.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication with team members and clients.
• Ability to maintain equipment and tools in good condition for optimal performance.
• Capability to read schematics accurately for effective problem-solving.
