As the Head of Delivery at ScottishPower, you will be responsible for leading and developing a multi-disciplined team to operate across all SPEN Licences. Your role includes ensuring compliance with various standards, including commercial, network design, security, stewardship, engineering, and technical aspects, while strictly adhering to the regulatory license obligations and safety legislation for the electricity network.

The delivery of the Network Digitalisation portfolio is key to the evolution of SPEN DNO Network Operations towards DSO and TSO. You will coordinate programmes across the Licence delivery programmes to ensure successful project delivery of active energy management deliverables.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver approved schemes using regulatory frameworks to improve network performance, ensuring effective delivery of system performance targets.
  • Integrate asset stewardship values through effective network design, improving safety and longevity of the electrical network.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver efficient solutions ready for handover to business-as-usual adoption.
  • Develop and maintain coordinated delivery plans prioritizing SPEN objectives with regulatory outputs and health and safety legislation.
  • Deliver business plan outputs in line with financial, regulatory, and business plan objectives.
  • Report business deliverables in compliance with Iberdrola and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate the delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with IBE/SPEN processes in line with business codes of practice.
  • Liaise with Licence leads for effective management of wider license objectives.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all safety legislation is implemented across planning activities.
  • Lead and manage teams to develop their potential, fostering a culture of business output delivery.

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree in electrical, electronic, or telecommunication engineering, or relevant experience with a minimum of five years in an engineering role within a utility business.
  • Over 3 years’ experience in team management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Numerate with budget and contract management experience.
  • Knowledge of Energy Networks health and safety requirements.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
