Head of E-Commerce

Bupa have an exciting opportunity for a Head of E-Commerce to join Bupa's Health Service Team. The post holder will ensure that Bupa's e-commerce platforms are designed and operate to drive maximum customer experience, repeat touchpoints, and revenue into the business, whether via web or relevant portions of the Bupa app estate. This role involves collaboration with the Clinics Leadership Team, Cromwell Executive Team, Health Services Leadership Team, and the IT and Digital teams across BGIUK.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy across health services, in conjunction with market unit and UK insurance teams.
- Ensure the e-commerce strategy aligns with requirements from other business units within BGIUK, such as Dental and UK Insurance consumer offerings.
- Manage the online customer journey, optimizing for user experience and conversion for both B2C and B2B bookings.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and digital teams to develop an in-app e-commerce journey to maximize customer lifetime value.
- Ensure online offerings reflect Bupa's commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
- Drive digital innovation and leverage technology for business growth.
- Anticipate the impact of changes in the external market and seek out best practices.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in e-commerce in a consumer Retail/Hospitality environment (Essential).
- Proficiency in online product sales and platform management (Essential).
- Ability to demonstrate thoughtful leadership, balancing intuition, risk awareness, and complex analysis.
- Strong technical knowledge of e-commerce platforms and web development.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to enhancing the online experience.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills.
