Housekeeper

Overview

To provide a high standard of domestic, catering, and general household duties within a ward environment for individuals with mental health issues. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out duties in line with National cleanliness standards.
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding service users and colleagues.
• Establishing good working relationships with ward staff and service users.
• Receiving and storing food according to set standards and Trust policy.
• Checking stocks of sundry items, food, and linen.
• Supporting service users in using laundry equipment.
• Communicating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Liaising about menu changes with service users and nursing staff.

This role is integral to maintaining a supportive environment for service users and requires a compassionate approach to care.
