Information for the role of Housekeeping Services Supervisor

Salary £13,890 per annum for 20 hours per week. An excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organization in a varied and fulfilling role within a small friendly team. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Supervising the Domestic Assistants to ensure the delivery of a timely and efficient Housekeeping Service
  • Liaising with student residents to encourage responsible use and care of residential facilities
  • Management of attendance, performance, and conduct
  • Assisting the Head Housekeeper and Cleaning Services Manager with their responsibilities
  • Liaising with other departments, including Maintenance and Accommodation, as required

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • GCSE Grade C (or above) in Maths or English or equivalent
  • Substantial experience in a Housekeeping supervisory role within a hospitality environment
  • A positive track record for problem-solving
  • Detailed knowledge of cleaning products and their application
  • A thorough understanding of Housekeeping responsibilities
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety provisions, including COSHH
  • Ability to lift, move, and bend in accordance with Risk Assessments
  • Proficiency in emails and databases
  • A good command of the English language

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a flexible approach to tasks and the ability to work without direct supervision, prioritizing a busy workload.

Details of the role

The position is a permanent part-time role, with anticipated administrative duties making up 10% of weekly working time. Work hours are 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday), with some weekend work required, for which notice will be given. There is potential for flexibility on start/finish times.
