ICT Desktop Engineer

Overview

ICT Services are seeking to appoint an experienced highly motivated Desktop Engineer to join the busy ICT First Line Team within ICT Services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing first point of contact technical advice, guidance, and support for the portfolio of devices and extensive application portfolio maintained by ICT Services both over the telephone and in person.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of projects undertaken by the desktop team. You will deliver a high standard of support and promote the culture within ICT Services: “The customer is at the heart of everything Middlesbrough Council do”.

Responsibilities include:

• Proficient support in all currently supported Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience of working in a MS 365 environment would also be beneficial.
• Travel to various supported sites; a full UK driving licence is required.

Full support and guidance will be given in terms of the governance arrangements, processes, and procedures. ICT Services are based in Fountain Court, Middlesbrough.

This vacancy is fixed term until 30.11.2025.
