ICT Desktop Engineer

Overview

ICT Services are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Desktop Engineer to join the busy ICT First Line Team.

Job Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Providing first point of contact technical advice, guidance, and support for the portfolio of devices and extensive application portfolio maintained by ICT Services, both over the telephone and in person.
• Participating in a broad range of projects undertaken by the desktop team.
• Delivering a high standard of support while promoting the culture within ICT Services: “The customer is at the heart of everything Middlesbrough Council do.”

Technical Skills Required

The ideal candidate will be proficient in:

• All currently supported Windows operating systems
• TCP/IP, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience in a MS 365 environment would be beneficial

Additional Requirements

As part of this role, you will be required to:

• Travel to various supported sites (a full UK driving licence is required).

Working Conditions

Full support and guidance will be provided regarding governance arrangements, processes, and procedures.
