Overview

Leigh Academy Bexley is looking to appoint a reliable and committed for the exams that take place throughout the academic year. Leigh Academy Bexley's ideal candidates will be well organized, excellent communicators, have experience supervising children, and be both reliable and flexible. While experience is preferred, full training will be provided for the successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure registration is undertaken.
• Accurately check exam details.
• Distribute candidate numbers.
• Ensure students do not communicate once they enter the examination room.
• Facilitate the smooth running of the examinations by ensuring that students abide by school and examining body rules.
• Methodically place seating plans and ensure necessary papers and equipment are available prior to the exam.
• Distribute question papers, answer booklets, and associated materials at the start of the examination, and collect them at the end.
• Ensure students do not communicate and assist them only as required.
• Accompany students if they need to leave the examination room for any reason, ensuring they do not communicate with anyone.

Invigilators are required to be available for the summer external exams in May and June (dates vary). There are various other additional periods of assessment throughout the year.

While the role is ad-hoc and term-time only, hours will be agreed in advance with the successful candidates, with opportunities to work regularly during examination periods. This position offers an hourly rate of £12.85.
