Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is looking to appoint a reliable and committed for the examinations throughout the academic year. Leigh Academy Hugh Christie's ideal candidates will be well-organized, excellent communicators, and have experience supervising children. While experience is preferred, full training will be provided for successful candidates.
The main purpose of this role is to supervise examinations and ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring registration is undertaken.
- Accurate checking of exam details.
- Distributing candidate numbers accurately.
- Maintaining silence in the examination room.
- Facilitating the smooth running of examinations by ensuring adherence to school rules.
- Methodical placement of seating plans and ensuring all necessary materials are ready before the exam.
- Distributing and collecting question papers and answer booklets.
- Assisting students if they need to leave the examination room, ensuring no communication occurs.
Invigilators are required to be available for the summer external exams in May and June, with various other assessment periods throughout the year. This role offers an hourly rate of £11.85.
