Kennel and Cattery Assistant

Overview

As a Kennel and Cattery Assistant, you will collaborate with Upperwood Boarding Kennels's dedicated team to provide excellent care for Upperwood Boarding Kennels's dogs and cats in a busy, well-established environment. This role is physically demanding and requires early starts, often as early as 6 am.

Responsibilities

• Care for dogs and cats, ensuring their well-being.
• Engage with customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Work closely with existing staff during peak periods.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for animals.

Shift and Schedule

• Minimum of 32 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours during busy periods.
• Availability for weekends and bank holidays is essential.
• Be prepared for increased demand during school holidays.

Location

This position is based in a rural setting with no public transport access, therefore, reliable transportation is required.

Salary and Benefits

Pay is £11.50 per hour with the possibility of tips.

Experience and Skills

While previous experience in pet care is preferred, it is not mandatory. A genuine passion for working with animals is a must.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Pet Care Occupations is preferred (1 year).

Start date is anticipated to be around 1st December 2024.
