Panzers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join Panzers's dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills within the culinary field.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking, ensuring all items are ready for use by chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly after use.
• Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised to meet health and safety standards.
• Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and organisation within the kitchen.
• Support chefs during busy periods by fetching ingredients or assisting with basic food preparation tasks.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain recycling practices in line with company policies.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and ensure that all supplies are stored correctly.

Skills

• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
• A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is desirable.
