The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurant settings.

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring that ingredients are ready for use.
• Help with the organisation of stock and supplies, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and efficiently.
• Support the team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance where needed.
• Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept tidy and free from hazards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and assist with recycling efforts within the kitchen.

Skills

• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen environment is required.
• A strong interest in catering and food preparation is highly desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
