Lampton 360 is looking for Level 2 qualified Swimming Teachers to prepare and deliver swimming lessons to children and adults in Lampton 360's successful and growing swim school program. This role follows Swim England's framework, delivering safe, consistent swimming lessons that instill confidence in the water—an invaluable life skill.

As an experienced swimming teacher, you will support individuals in achieving their potential while addressing their unique needs. At Lampton, Lampton 360 offer swimming lessons in both group and one-to-one formats, catering to all ages from babies to adults. Lessons are conducted during the week from 4 PM to 7 PM and on weekends from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Responsibilities

• Preparing lesson plans that meet the requirements of all Swim England Frameworks.
• Carrying out all administrative tasks associated with the position, including lesson plans and schemes of work.
• Ensuring class registers are taken every lesson and conducting continuous assessments of pupils weekly.
• Upholding GDPR guidelines at all times.
• Managing equipment setup and organization throughout sessions, and ensuring proper storage after.
• Reporting any child safeguarding concerns in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
• Motivating and instructing customers during lessons, both in group settings and one-on-one.
• Supervising and mentoring ASA/Swim England Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers as required.

Qualifications

• Hold an ASA/Swim England - SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
• Passionate about helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds learn to swim or improve their swimming skills.
• Good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and providing effective feedback, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers and their families.
