Lead Clinical Cardiac Physiologist - Complex Diagnostics

This role focuses on leading the team providing Cardiac Physiology Services within the Clinical Investigation Centre, specializing in Complex Diagnostics. Ideally, candidates should have a proven specialist background in Echocardiology and Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology Diagnostics. You will report to the Cardiac Services Manager and work closely with other department leaders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement operational policies and procedures to extend services in Cardiac Physiology.
• Support specialized consultants in service delivery and resource management within a multidisciplinary department.
• Manage the day-to-day performance and ensure project milestones and goals are met.
• Conduct highly specialized cardiac ultrasound investigations, including transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Perform and report on various cardiac diagnostics, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Lead quality assurance and manage audit programs related to clinical governance standards.
• Supervise and train trainee Echocardiographers.

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualifications.
• Accreditation in Transthoracic Echocardiography.
• Knowledge of advanced diagnostic procedures through accredited courses.
• Ability to perform a variety of specialist diagnostic investigations.
