Bracknell Forest Council is looking for a committed individual to join Bracknell Forest Council's small, friendly local authority as a Leaving Care Support Worker. In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the lives of care leavers aged 16 to 25.

Role Overview

The Leaving Care Team is a dedicated group focused on providing essential support to ensure the best outcomes for Bracknell Forest Council's young people and care leavers. Bracknell Forest Council's leadership understands the importance of creating a secure environment for social care workers to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct holistic assessments for young people returning to the service post-21.
  • Organize positive activities while coordinating education, training, and employment opportunities for care leavers.
  • Lead specific projects aimed at increasing employment opportunities and reducing social isolation.
  • Promote the Leaving Care Service to partner agencies.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of young people, which may include occasional travel and evening work.

Salary and Benefits

Salary for this role is between £17,095 and £20,227 per year, pro-rata for part-time hours.
