Overview

Health and Safety Consultant based in Hull. Due to an expanding client base, SHE Knows Ltd is looking for regular consultants or a member of staff to assist with the consultancy side of the business. The role involves working with external clients, advising and training them on various aspects of health and safety, particularly focusing on engineering and construction activities, to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and promote best practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement SHE solutions tailored to meet client needs.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and monitoring, ensuring SHE compliance, and distribute written reports promptly.
  • Undertake risk assessments and document them as per client requirements.
  • Advise on, write, and revise SHE policies and procedures for clients.
  • Provide support and guidance on workplace and activity risk assessments.
  • Offer advice and support on all SHE-related issues, ensuring all legislative impacts are reflected in documentation and policy.
  • Attend working groups and professional development meetings as appropriate.

Miscellaneous Duties

  • Participate in team meetings and training courses necessary for the role.
  • Undertake specific administrative tasks related to the post.
  • Work the necessary hours to complete job responsibilities.
  • Maintain use of a car and possess a full driving license.
  • Comply with Health & Safety Policies and Equal Opportunities Policies.
  • Be proficient in using a PC, including Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet, and adapt to new software as required.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate time management skills and apply flexi-time honestly.
