Lead Reporting Radiographer

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Reporting Radiographer to join the Radiology Management team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, covering the hospital sites of Guy's, St. Thomas', and Evelina London Hospital.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team of reporting radiographers, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
- Manage the planning, organization, and delivery of educational programs and resources for reporting radiographers.
- Provide clinical reports for a range of imaging examinations, suggesting diagnoses and advising on follow-up actions when necessary.
- Offer consultancy regarding radiographic diagnoses to clinicians and practitioners seeking advice.
- Set and maintain high professional and technical standards of work.
- Conduct peer and self-audits, maintaining accurate records and encouraging reflective practices.
- Undertake data assessments to monitor reporting turnaround times and reporting capacity.
- Contribute to service improvements in line with national and local health service strategies.
- Conduct research and lead audits to enhance the reporting service.
- Perform a variety of diagnostic radiography procedures, managing patient priorities appropriately.

Job Specifications
Knowledge/Qualifications
- State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council UK
- BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Postgraduate reporting qualification
- Masters degree in Radiographic reporting (desirable)
