Laundry Team Leader

Overview

As a Laundry Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that all staff are thoroughly trained in the correct use of laundry processing equipment. You will oversee the processing of all bedding and linen in accordance with relevant legislation and HTM 01-04 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Laundry staff, which includes handling appraisals, managing attendance, and booking bank staff.
• Maintain accurate records of sickness and absence, adhering to Trust Policies, SOPs, and databases.
• Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels by coordinating and producing staff duties/rosters.
• Ensure that any staff absence is effectively covered to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure laundering standards are consistently upheld.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £26,530 - £29,114 per year. Additional benefits may include opportunities for professional development and training.

Working Patterns

Shifts will vary, and candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the laundry department.

Education and Skills Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or healthcare setting is desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
