Overview

Fixed Term Contract – 9 months

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week with early finish on Fridays.

Salary: Up to circa £30k per annum.

Role Overview

Prince Personnel is working with a market-leading manufacturing organisation looking to recruit a Material Controller on a fixed-term basis. This role offers a great opportunity for someone eager to join a thriving business and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities

• The effective scheduling of components and materials to support manufacturing schedules and fulfill customer orders.
• Placing and expediting purchase orders with suppliers.
• Optimising inventory levels to ensure stock holding value is commercially viable.
• Collaborating closely with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and adhering to SLAs and contractual agreements.
• Managing materials lead times and scheduling demand using the MRP system.
• Working closely with other operational teams to ensure effective management of materials and components.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience in a similar role such as Materials Controller, MRP Planner, Materials Planner, Purchasing Assistant, or Purchasing Administrator.
• Understanding of purchase order processes.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
