About the role
Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a new business focused Account Executive to join Benefact Group's Community Broking division in Exeter. This role is diverse, ensuring that no two days are alike. Your primary objective will be to provide excellent client service while meeting sales and renewal income targets through effective sales and relationship management with both new and existing clients.
You will collaborate with wider teams to arrange and conduct client review meetings, maximizing business opportunities and supporting Benefact Group's broader business strategy. Key responsibilities
- Achieve individual and team targets as set and agreed
- Identify new prospects and renewal dates using Benefact Group's prospect database and own research, proactively making outbound calls and running individual regional campaigns
- Handle new leads and client meetings effectively
- Attend networking & sponsorship events
- Maintain a comprehensive diary system and activity log for income generation
- Provide professional support and advice to customers through reviews, ensuring high service levels
- Focus on relationship management with existing key clients
- Manage time and resources effectively to visit clients cost-effectively
- Work in partnership with colleagues in the commercial development team
- Conduct comprehensive market searches to ensure competitive quotations
- Underwrite scheme policies according to guidelines
- Ensure collection of client money in line with company policies
- Maintain and develop technical competence in line with client reviews
- Assist in developing payment plans and growing existing plans
- Represent Lloyd & Whyte Ltd professionally at external events
- Research potential new markets, products, prospects, and introducers
- Support colleagues from all areas of the business as needed
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Solid knowledge of the UK Insurance Market, particularly within commercial lines
- Proven experience in a new business-focused insurance role
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance
