Brief Description of the Job

As a Nursery Keyperson, you will work under the supervision of the Nursery Manager and senior leadership team to care for a group of children aged from 3 months to four years old. You will use the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to plan, lead, and provide high-quality care and early education through play. Your role will include being part of the Under 3’s team during focus play sessions.

Responsibilities

• Care for children's needs while promoting their development.
• Plan and implement engaging activities based on children's interests.
• Communicate effectively with children and their families.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment.
• Observe and assess children's progress and development.

Training / Experience / Qualifications

• Appropriate early years qualification at level 3.
• Previous experience working with children under 5 in an early years setting.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Understanding of child development and special educational needs.
• Knowledge of child protection issues.
• IT capabilities for record keeping.
• First aid and food hygiene certification are desirable.
