Job Description

As a Neighbourhood Officer in the Valleys Neighbourhood Team, you will play a key role in delivering initiatives that foster resilient and cohesive communities across Calderdale. Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and addressing local concerns, such as community safety and environmental issues.
• Collaborating with community members to design and implement sustainable projects.
• Supporting various Council priorities by attending and contributing to meetings, including ward forums and the Hebden Bridge Development Board.
• Delivering community projects, events, and activities in partnership with other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside Neighbourhood Coordinators and Community Wardens.
• Manage relationships with community members and stakeholders.
• Plan and execute community engagement activities.
• Monitor budgets and manage resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in community development and engagement.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with budget monitoring and partnership working.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
