Kent County Council’s Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children’s Service is dedicated to providing accommodation and support to newly arrived UAS children in Kent. Kent County Council is seeking passionate individuals to join Kent County Council's Reception Centre team.
About Olea Grove
Located in a tranquil rural setting in Ash, Kent, Olea Grove is a children's home accommodating UAS children aged under 16 years, with a capacity of up to 22 children. Named after the Olive Trees of Syria, the centre offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, fostering links with local services to provide a variety of activities for young people.
Role Responsibilities
As a Night Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Managing routines and setting goals for young people
- Facilitating a learning culture within the centre
- Providing direct support to UAS children who have experienced trauma
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children during night shifts
Qualifications and Skills Required
Kent County Council is looking for individuals who:
- Have experience working with UAS children
- Are enthusiastic about helping children achieve the best outcomes
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (reasonable adjustments can be made for disabilities)
