Nurse, Ward 1

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC)'s well-established team on Ward 1 at West Cumberland Hospital. NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) believe that happy, supported staff provide the highest standard of care. The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside a supportive, experienced team. Ward 1 is a 32-bedded unit, accommodating elective surgery and accepting acute surgical referrals from various sources.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own team of patients with duties including:

• Completing admission packages
• Medication administration (oral, sub-cutaneous, intravenous, and intra-muscular)
• Care of patients pre and post operatively
• Management of naso-gastric tubes and drains
• Wound management and stoma care
• Discharge planning

The salary for this position ranges from £29,970 to £36,483 a year pro rata. Employees will have access to various benefits:

Qualifications and Experience Required

Essential

• Registered nurse (adult) with active registration
• Experience in NHS or equivalent nursing

• Mentorship certificate or equivalent
• Relevant field of nursing
