An opportunity has arisen within Worcester City Council’s Environmental Operations Team. Worcester City Council is seeking three experienced street cleaning and grounds maintenance operatives who possess excellent knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for front-line services.
Role Overview
As part of Worcester City Council's Place Team, the post holders will work on the front line to ensure Worcester remains a clean, tidy, and safe city. The tasks will include:
- Litter picking
- Hedge cutting
- Strimming
- Mowing
- General grounds maintenance duties
Responsibilities
A key aspect of the role is delivering excellent customer service to the residents and visitors of Worcester. Candidates should have a strong understanding of street cleansing activities and health and safety practices.
Requirements
- Experience in grounds maintenance and street cleaning
- Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- A full UK driving licence
Work Schedule
The hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from £23,500 to £24,294 per year.
