Occupational Therapist

Overview

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Central Mental Health Wellness Team. The post holder will provide assessments and interventions to clients, managing a diverse range of complex physical and psychological conditions.

Main Duties

• Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy clinical expertise.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions promoting recovery and social inclusion.
• Coordinate care for an identified group of service users.
• Manage challenging clinical situations with effective planning.
• Evaluate therapy interventions collaboratively with service users.
• Offer specialist clinical advice during meetings and ward rounds.
• Collaborate with various services for comprehensive support.
• Adhere to safeguarding frameworks across the Trust.
• Conduct evidence-based clinical audits.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Education

• BSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Current HCPC Registration
• Clinical Supervision Training (desirable)

Experience

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate OT interventions
• Facilitate groups for service users
• Experience in mental health settings
