Job Overview:

As a Parts Advisor at Volvo Trucks, located at Volvo Group's Hayes dealership, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to Volvo Group's customers and technicians. Your primary responsibility will involve supplying HGV parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive deliveries, mark off, and store parts in the stockroom according to prearranged systems.
• Locate, label, and maintain inventory of stock.
• Conduct regular inventory stock counts.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the Parts Department.
• Report stock shortages to the Parts Supervisor.
• Produce parts quotations for internal and external customers.
• Document and supervise the condition of parts returned for credit.
• Discuss the use and features of various parts with customers.
• Accurately compile parts from job cards for repairs in the workshop.
• Feedback all competitor information to the Parts Supervisor.
• Proactively sell parts and promotions to customers.
• Pick up and deliver parts as needed.
• Work within health and safety company guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Valid Driving Licence.
• Ability to identify parts using catalogues and systems.
• Numerical ability for working with part numbers.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Sales skills to influence customers to purchase additional parts.
• Proficient in documentation and recording information.
• IT literate, able to use DMS and associated software.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable attitude.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible and positive approach to changing priorities.
• Commercial awareness.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, with a late shift from 12:00 to 21:00 (half an hour unpaid lunch break).
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings from 6:30 to 12:00 with overtime at time and a half.
