Overview

To ensure the smooth clerical administration in both departments' reception areas and admin offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, clinical staff, and the general public.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care skills.
  • Respond to patient, staff, and visitor requests appropriately.
  • Receive queries in person, by email, and on the telephone.
  • Cover reception areas as required.
  • Maintain records on both paper and IT systems.
  • Undertake clerical duties and assist Pre-Assessment staff with data input onto electronic patient records.
  • Be competent with all office equipment.
  • Obtain all notes for the Pre-assessment clinics.
  • Ensure clinical staff have access to essential information in a timely fashion.
  • Report faults to estate teams.
  • Conduct ongoing checks throughout the day for add-ons to clinic lists.
  • Trace and send away all notes to relevant departments.
  • Arrange hospital transport for patients.
  • Manage calls and check voicemails.
