The Role

The Parcel Courier Operative will be responsible for:

• Sorting and organising incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
• Operating conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
• Ensuring proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
• Collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
• Identifying damaged parcels and following company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
• Assisting in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Requirements

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
