Overview

Working within the Print Team operating print presses to ensure machine output is maximised and quality standards are maintained while adhering to health and safety regulations.

• Act in compliance with all De La Rue company guidelines, especially those relating to Security, Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, and Code of Business Principles.
• Run machines safely and properly.
• Minimise waste levels to remain below standard allowances.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures; employees are responsible for their own health and safety and that of others.
• Maintain workplace housekeeping standards, keeping the machine and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
• Problem-solve on print machines, working closely with the No. 1 Operator to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Liaise with the Process Leader, No. 1 Operative, Production Assistants, and QC to exceed production and performance standards.
• Control and monitor paperwork and computer records to provide accurate documentation.
• Maximise machine efficiency to produce consistently high output and quality.
• Meet production, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and safety targets in line with the company’s KPIs.
• Continuously improve Print Section performance; provide training and development for new and existing employees as required.

The above responsibilities are not exhaustive; other duties may be required consistent with this role to support the needs of the business.

Essential

• Successful completion of a craft apprenticeship (NVQ 3) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in producing high specification work across multiple processes.
• Flexible and proactive approach, ability to work well within a team and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, flexibly, and with initiative.

Desirable

• Previous experience in flexo printing.
