Working for Spring Grove Medical Practice, the role includes the phlebotomy of adult patients primarily on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 08:30 to 12:30, with occasional Saturday overtime clinics.
In addition to phlebotomy, responsibilities will include conducting health checks, ECGs, diabetic checks, and flu vaccinations, depending on your experience. Training is available for further development.
Main Duties
The key duties of this position include:
- Phlebotomy for patients aged 14 or over.
- Conducting comprehensive health checks focusing on lifestyle choices such as smoking, alcohol consumption, exercise, and diet.
- Measuring vital statistics including blood pressure, weight, height, and BMI.
- Assessing cardiovascular disease risk, and with additional experience, conducting ECGs and 24-hour ABPMs.

- Fully qualified phlebotomist.
Desirable
- Care certificate qualification for Health Care Assistants or another relevant health professional qualification.
