Make a difference to the lives of pre-school children with significant additional needs. For over 40 years, Portage has been providing a highly professional educational home visiting service for families of pre-school children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting families and children with SEND.
- Conducting home visits and providing tailored educational support.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of child development: Understanding early childhood development, especially for SEND.
- Experience with families and children: Practical experience is crucial for effective support.
- Organisational skills: Efficient management of various aspects of the role.
- Self-motivation: Proactive in meeting children's and families' needs.
- Communication skills: Good listening and communicative abilities are essential.
- Tact and sensitivity: Handling unique challenges faced by families.
