This role entails:

• Generating creative ideas for visual stories and creating original treatments.
• Writing, publishing, and curating news content in a live environment.
• Working well in a team, with strong communication and decisiveness.
• A passion for Wales and its people.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan coverage, produce bulletins, curate and publish online news, and generate video content for ITVX.
• Maintain a strong contacts base and keep abreast of key developments within Wales.
• Ensure compliance with ITV’s legal and regulatory frameworks.

Minimum role criteria:

• Depth of journalistic experience (ideally more than 2 years).
• Recent achievements in sourcing, planning, editing, and writing news content.
• Strong understanding of Welsh audiences and devolved structures.
• Self-starter approach with creativity to bring original content.

The Key role criteria includes:

• Generating, developing, and telling original stories for an ITV audience.
• Relevant skills in planning, producing, and curating news.
• Knowledge of reaching new audiences on various platforms.
• Excellent contacts and ability to build trust within communities.
• Awareness of media law and compliance, ensuring accuracy in writing.
• A good knowledge of Wales and its distinct features.
