Production Operator - Entry Level with Immediate Start

Overview

At CCL Design, CCL Design design and manufacture a wide range of printed, functional, and decorative products for CCL Design's global customer base across electronics, automotive, and industrial sectors. Operating globally, CCL Design's Glasgow team of designers, engineers, and production staff develop and manufacture highly complex decorative plastic components and assemblies for the automotive and consumer sectors. CCL Design's Glasgow manufacturing site primarily serves customers within these sectors.

CCL Design now have vacancies for Production Operators reporting directly to the Production Supervisors. The purpose of this position will be to be part of a production team working with equipment and conducting quality checks, in line with company standards while maintaining a safe working environment.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Working with equipment
• Reporting on internal systems
• Inspection work
• Carrying out in-process quality checks
• Understanding customer quality expectations
• Understanding defect categories and quality levels
• Performing other duties within the employee’s skill level
• Maintaining safe working practices and 5S standards
• Complying with Health and Safety regulations

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Comfortable with basic numeracy
• Problem-solving abilities
• Good attention to detail

This is an entry-level role, and full training will be provided.

Further Information:

The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, working on a three-shift rotation Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required, and shifts may change to suit the needs of the business. Weekend hours may also be necessary.
