A Parking Officer vacancy has arisen in West Berkshire Council's busy Parking Office based in the Market Street Offices, Newbury. The role is integral in providing a high-quality parking service throughout West Berkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of Penalty Charge Notices (Parking, Bus Lane, and School Streets)
- Managing the Resident Permit Scheme
- Issuing Season Tickets and handling Parking Suspensions/Dispensations
- Supporting the administration of the Blue Badge and Concessionary Fares schemes
Requirements
West Berkshire Council is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person who can work on their own initiative but is also able to work within a team. Knowledge of Parking or Blue Badge legislation is advantageous, although not essential as full training will be given.
Work Schedule
The position is part-time, requiring 18.5 hours per week. The working week is Monday to Friday, and any working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £27,803 to £33,945 per year
