Overview

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Accounts Payable Office to join Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's team at Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH). Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's team is based at Kent & Canterbury Hospital but Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust mostly work from home. There will be times when you will be expected to come into the office for training and when requested by your managers.

Your initial training for this post will be office-based at KCH with members of the team. You’ll work as part of a consortium covering two NHS Trusts and a subsidiary limited company, providing you with an exciting opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to support progression within the finance domain.

In return for your contribution, Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust will support you with applications for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification where possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • The accurate registering of invoices and credit notes onto Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's financial system (Unit 4 Business World).
  • Dealing with internal and external queries in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking regular statement reconciliations and taking action accordingly.
  • Working as a team to achieve Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's month-end and year-end account closures.
  • Adhering to the variety of deadlines imposed on the department.
