Paediatric ST1

Overview

Applications are invited for a paediatric SHO post for a four month duration with an expected start date of October 2024. Successful applicants will work in Southend University Hospital NHS Trust's General Paediatric & Neonatal wards, with ample opportunities to learn from middle grade registrars and Consultants with varied sub-specialty interests. There will also be opportunities to work at the Paediatric Emergency department under the supervision of a paediatric ED Consultant. The role includes:

• Managing patients in children’s ward, Paediatric assessment unit, and Paediatric ED.
• Working in the neonatal unit which includes Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit, labour ward, and post-natal ward.
• Managing patients in outpatients area under the supervision of a Consultant.
