Production Team Leader

Overview

As a Production Team Leader, you will oversee a section of the assembly process, supporting the Production Supervisor with daily management tasks. Your role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Risk Assessments.
• Impact SQCDP metrics and escalate non-adherence as necessary.
• Ensure efficient start-up and end-of-shift routines to achieve daily KPIs.
• Monitor and coach team members to improve processes.
• Maintain local area standards through housekeeping.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in reviews as a member of the production management team.

Qualifications

Technical Competencies

• Substantial experience in vehicle body building or mechanical fitting.
• Competent in manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in training individuals is desirable.

Experience

• Competent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive leadership style, able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience leading production operatives.
• Able to interact with all team members.

Education

• Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Building or equivalent.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferable.
