Part Time Team Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Disability Social Care 0-25 Service as a part-time Team Manager. As the Team Manager of the Disabled Children’s Referral & Access Team, you will work alongside the Children with Disabilities Team (0-18) and the Young Adults Team (18-25). You will also collaborate closely with in-house providers of short breaks, health and education professionals, and various private and voluntary organizations.
Experience in partnership working and networking is essential, alongside the ability to delegate tasks and lead, develop, and motivate a team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Allocating work and performance monitoring
- Supporting team development
- Understanding case allocation and thresholds
- Demonstrating resilience in a busy environment
Prior experience and understanding of SEND is critical, as is a safeguarding background and experience in managing risk. You will be working 18.5 hours per week. This position will primarily be based at the Buttsgrove Centre in Huntingdon but offers the flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid model.

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a confident and dynamic individual who enjoys building relationships and supporting vulnerable children and young people. You must:
- Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Possess strong leadership skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of SEND legislation and processes
- Have knowledge of statutory requirements, safeguarding, and local procedures
- Have supervisory experience and be confident in managing risk
