PEI Group at PEI Group are looking for Research Associates to join PEI Group's welcoming, diverse, and growing team in Singapore. The successful research associate will be part of a global team responsible for the research and maintenance of online intelligence services that track the flow of capital between investors and fund managers active in the alternative asset classes.
The role demands first-rate organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication, strong Excel and data management skills, and an analytical mind. Attention to detail is essential to ensure that PEI Group maintain accuracy and high quality output. The research associate also needs to be comfortable with processes and must be thorough in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining written and data-driven company profiles of fund managers, investors, and service providers in private markets for publication in PEI Group's online products.
- Using online sources, including company websites, regulatory filings, and news sources, to maintain up-to-date and accurate data in PEI's proprietary databases.
- Conducting telephone interviews with senior executives at fund management firms and institutional investors.
- Translating these phone conversations into accurate data input for PEI's databases.
- Becoming an expert in collecting and presenting data in Excel, chart, and graph form.
- Working as a team to survey market participants and analysing results for publication across PEI’s editorial titles.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Maintaining an excellent knowledge of alternative assets through reading multiple intelligence sources.
- The balance of the above tasks will vary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong Excel skills are essential.
Key Relationships:
- Building relationships with colleagues in other offices.
- Engaging with senior contacts in the industry through correspondence and meetings.
Key Success Measures:
- Meeting agreed deadlines and targets for institutions researched.
- Accuracy of data researched.
- Maintaining a positive attitude towards work.
About You:
This role suits individuals with highly developed research skills, self-motivation, and excellent verbal communication abilities. Attention to detail, patience, and strong time management skills are essential. A working knowledge of and interest in financial services would be an advantage.
